OUR NAME
“Now these (the Bereans) were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so.”
–Acts 17:11
Our Theme
Plant a church, make disciples, reach the world
Our Purpose Statement
The Berean Fellowship of Churches exists to establish and nurture a fellowship of interdependent churches and related ministries in strategic areas.
Our Vision Statement
It is the vision of the Berean Fellowship of Churches to glorify Christ in our generation through aggressively establishing churches worldwide, training believers in Christlikeness and reaching the lost with the hope of the gospel.
Distinctives
The Berean Fellowship is a family of churches committed to the authority of the Bible and the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Churches in the Fellowship enjoy flexibility in methodology while agreeing on a clearly defined doctrinal statement, a common constitution, and a shared vision for worldwide impact.
Pastors in the Berean Fellowship benefit from interdependence and a family spirit fostered by District pastors’ meetings, an annual pastors’ retreat, and the National Convention. The pastors of each District provide one another with support and accountability, and they assist mission churches and churches seeking pastors.
Some of the hallmarks of the Berean Fellowship include:
Christ-honoring longevity of leadership
Historic roots
Documented financial solvency
“Elder” form of government
A strong camping emphasis
Strong support of faith missions
These strengths provide a platform from which we plant churches, make disciples, and reach the world in our generation.
